John Murray tells this.......

I dug out some notes today-CoH was Pine Tree Rangers til found out CoE was using it and changed to Panola Rangers. Other units in G-Granpas' notes had kinfolks and friends out of southwest Sumter County that were in CoK 31st RegtTerrells Advengers-CoE 31 Regt Bartons Raiders Lumpkin/Stewart County/ Preston-CoB 26Regt Waynes Wolfpack- CoD 60 Regt Dooly County Davy's Rangers-CoE 13 Regt Lee/Terrell County Piney Tree Rangers. I copied down "some of" his stories this one was ""Panolas Rangers can blow a pee-can out of a squrrils mouth when hes runnin down a tree limb'"'. Well I'm goin to call a friend R.L.H. down in Bottsford tomorrow, he used to have a lot of 'word of mouth' history about the people in southwest Sumter County and CSA--
