Wounded in leg and disabled at Gettysburg, Pa. July 3, 1863 . Elected Captain of Co. E, 5th
Regiment Ga. Reserve Inf. April 1864 . On detail duty as Enrolling Officer August 31, 1864 . No later record.
Cobb, Jacob W., Jr.----- private June 11, 1861. Wounded and captured, date and place not given.(Seven Days Battle-June 1862).
Exchanged. Roll for February 28, 1865 , last on file, shows him present. No later record. Pension records show he lost sight,
result of explosion of shell, at Seven Pines, Va. (Born at Americus, Ga. in 1842.)(Spent 6 months in Confederate hospitals in
Richmond after 1862 wounding)

With my limited ability, I have "cleaned up" these photos as much as my scanner
and image software will allow, keeping the size restrained due to loading time.
I know that they are not perfect, but at least give a reasonable image of men that
served in the 9th Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment 150 or so years ago. Every man
in these photos was either killed or wounded. Such photos, to me, are priceless!
